the creation of fraidknot clothing

The creator of FraidKnot originally created the Wooden Eye clothing brand.
 Being an adventurer herself, her designs were created to encourage people to get out doors and live an active, healthy and adventurous life.

Like to Go Surfing? Wooden Eye!!
Like to Go Mountain Biking? Wooden Eye!!
Like to Go Paddling? Wooden Eye!!

When the world went into lockdown, spontaneity and adventure was also slowly being shutdown

As the world started to enforce lockdowns, being able to say " Wooden Eye!" became harder and harder.

Like to Go Surfing? o hang on, can't leave my house

Like to Go to Work? o hang on, not able to go to work without a green tick on my phone.

Like to Go Camping? , not able to leave my locked down zone.

So instead of watching our world slowly change, she started to say Fraidknot !!! to many of the proposed changes.

And so FraidKnot was created.

How fraidknot became a symbol to say " no"

FraidKnot was created in August 2021, during the lockdowns, which resulted in closures of businesses and increased difficulty to remain employed in some sectors.

FraidKnot's creator worked in the health sector and subsequently lost her job in health after saying "FraidKnot " when she was requested to take part in a medical trial or lose her job.

" FraidKnot" was the answer to many knee jerk reaction demands placed on this health worker as she tried to rebuild and continue doing what she loved.
 
To help pay the bills, the FraidKnot shirts were created and this helped the creator to start again in the health sector and continue working in the area of health that she had loved for 30 years.

But that's another long story, with lots of FraidKnots being said and to survive in the health world, FraidKnot became a symbol of strength to continue.

We hope FraidKnot may provide additional strength to those who continue to say " No "  to non-sensical rules, so they can  continue doing what they love.
